Highlights
Malouda was the solo scorer for Chelsea in their match against Wigan Athletic on Saturday 9, 2011.  His goal with only 23 minutes remaining brought his team up the leader board to third place.  Manchester City unfortunately was moved down to forth place.

Everyone knows - the manager, the players - that we are playing to save our season - Yossi Benayoun

Michael Carrick and Mark Giggs were the main players that took the victory against Chelsea in the first quarter-final leg of the Champions League.  Manchester United's victory has proven they are the team to beat this year.

Liverpool's bad play could be due to their captain being injured. Steven Gerrard has recently undergone surgery on his groin and will most likely be out of play for the rest of the season.  This includes the Champions League.

All previous games in the Barclay's Premier League were leading up the Champions League.  The top six point leaders will have the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League.

There were more than 49,000 people in attendance at St. James Park to watch Newcastle United vs. Wolverhamton Wanders.  Both teams earned several yellow cards (fouls).  The scorers for Newcastle were Nolan, Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Gutierrez. And the solo scorer for Wolverhamton was Ebanks-Blake.
"I think we played very well. It was a very difficult game but we started fantastically. I think all the players played very well, and pressed from the first minute. Mario (Balotelli) and Carlos (Tevez) worked when we lost the ball which was very important. In the last 25 days we played every three days which was the problem. But now we have recovered all the players (from injury). Our target from the start of the season was the Champions League." - Roberto Mancini, Manager for Manchester City
"We were certainly nowhere near good enough and second best all afternoon. Manchester City were very good but we have got to do a lot better than what we did today. It disappointed me. I don't want to make any excuses, we were second best in all departments. We have got to dig deep, pull our socks up and get ready for the challenge of the next seven games." - Steve Bruce, Manager for Sunderland
Bobby Zumora has been out of play this season due to injury.  The 30-year-old player has recovered and showed his skills against Blackpool on Sunday by scoring 2 goals for his team.  This is Fulhams fifth home win in six matches.
There were more than 60,000 people in attendance at Emirates Stadium to watch Arsenal vs. Blackburn Rovers. Both teams suffered from a yellow card.  However, Rovers player, Steven Nzonzi earned his team a red card (kicked out of the game). Both teams were unable to score a goal.
Liverpool couldn't manage to acquire the momentum needed to beat West Bromwich Albion.  Six minutes into the match Glen Johnson pulled a hampstring and was replaced by Sotirios Kyrgiako.  Later in the match the club suffered from yet another injury.  This time is was Agger.  He was replaced by Danny Wilson after hobbling off the pitch.
